LG Gives Pricing for New 240Hz LCD TVs
LGs new TruMotion 240Hz LCD displays are now one step closer to hitting the market. Prices for the models have been revealed, but we are still waiting for actual release dates.Prices for the new models will range from $2,445 to $4,742 depending on size. So far we know of 3 sizes that will be available consisting of 42, 47, and 55 inches. The sets will feature an impossible 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, THX support, and can even play DivX files from a USB drive.
In case you have been living in a cave, 240Hz is the latest and greatest feature on the latest and greatest TVs. 240Hz supposedly makes watching TV better than watching live performances, or at least close to it. 240Hz refers to the TVs refresh rate, so the higher the number, the faster it refreshes the image, resulting in a blur-free image.
When these TVs come out, they will be the perfect companion to my new $99 Blu-ray player.
