It is no secret that the price of consumer electronics is falling. As the cost of flat panel televisions decreases, the price of rear projection sets falls even further. Such is the case with the Panasonic PT-52lcx6. It features an all black screen, resting on a silver base. The speakers are mounted just below the screen to help minimize the footprint. The controls are located just above the speakers and blend nicely with the silver trim.
The Panasonic PT-52lcx6 features a native resolution of 1,280 x 720, perfect for off air high definition broadcasts. Also included is a built in high definition tuner with cable card. This will eliminate the need to have a separate cable box to receive high definition cable signals. A built in memory card reader makes it easy to display photos stored on your SD card. The Panasonic PT-52lcx6 also has 1 HDMI input, 1 component, 3 composite, and 1 VGA. The picture-in-picture function allows the user to view 2 sources at the same time.
The Panasonic PT-52lcx6 has the ability to assign up to 3 independent memories per input. This was a big plus among the expert reviewers, allowing for optimal picture settings for DVD, cable, or whichever source you happen to be watching. The VGA input was also a plus among the experts (who wouldn’t want a 52 inch computer monitor?). The Panasonic PT-52lcx6 was also able to fit into relatively small spaces due do its small form factor. The consumer reviews were impressed by the picture quality, especially when its lower price point was taken into consideration. Consumers felt the TV was on par with even the more expensive DLP sets on the market.
The Panasonic PT-52lcx6 provides a decent feature set, with a price that makes it hard to beat. This TV is best suited for those who are looking for a great TV at a rock bottom price.
