TopTenREVIEWS Review

When choosing a DLP projector for your home theater, the name of the game is getting the most for your money. The Optoma EP719 is a great choice because it offers great performance at one of the best prices you can find in DLP projectors. Now you’ll have more money to spend elsewhere on your home theater. The Optoma EP719 doesn’t look quite as sleek as some of the other projectors, but the case is sturdy. It’s also one of the most compact projectors out there and definitely the lightest. It offers excellent brightness levels and a good contrast ratio, making it good for home settings where the room may not be completely dark. Experts liked the Optoma EP719’s small size and light weight. They also liked that the device is rated as one of the quietest when it comes to fan noise. Consumers obviously liked the smaller price coupled with good performance in home theaters. Whether you need to take it on the road or just outfit your home theater, the Optoma EP719 can adjust to your needs and provide exceptional images.

The competition was very strong for this roundup of sub- $1000 projectors, but the Optoma EP719 clearly outshone the rest. Alfhough not the brightest of the group, the Optoma single-handedly creates a new product category: the bargain-basement XGA...
