TopTenREVIEWS Review

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema1080 projector is the best picture for the best price. You could easily spend a couple thousand dollars more for slightly higher quality, but the returns don’t justify the added cost.

The PowerLite Home Cinema has nearly all the same bells and whistles that Epson’s Pro Cinema has, at nearly half the price. Obviously there’s a tradeoff when going from a high-end professional projector, but it’s barely noticeable to even the trained eye.

The image size can be anywhere from 30 inches up to 25 feet, and the contrast ratio is a sharp 12000:1. Experts noticed it was just a tad softer than more expensive products, but stressed that the discrepancy was minimal.

For the money, this is the best projector you can get.

The Epson Home Cinema 1080 is an excellent example of how far home theater LCD projectors have come in the last few years. It produces a very smooth image with 1080p resolution that really makes high definition sources pop. The HC 1080 also features...

The projector was very easy to set up. The caliberation was somewhat difficult, but the Epson support time is very good. Their special telephone number to contact the technical team was a very good idea. With the help of one of the agents,...
