The InFocus IN42 is one of the most affordable and brightest LCD projectors available. The contrast ratio is not as high as we’d like, at 1000:1, so the picture isn’t as crisp as with higher-priced models. There’s always a tradeoff for a lower price, and this seems to be it. Peak resolution is an impressive 1600x1200, and it shows HDTV at 720p/1080i.
Most impressive is the In42’s large picture quality. Amazingly the larger the projected image, the better it looks. Its brightness and decent contrast combined with the lower price point make the In42 a bargain.
The In42 by InFocus won’t disappoint, and at today’s prices, its price tag won’t either.
